On June 5, 2014 Jacob lost his battle with cancer. He was just 9 years old. Jacob spent the past year and half in and out of hospitals enduring chemo, radiation, multiple surgeries after his diagnosis of brain cancer in December 2012. Jacob showed the strength and courage of a Jedi Master. Jacob was a huge Star Wars fan so a fundraising team for Ronald McDonald House was named "Jacob the Jedi" and the name has stuck to represent Jacob's battle against cancer. During his treatment, Jacob's parents were by his side and were not working regularly so they have limited funds to bury their son. I am trying to help my friend and Jacob's father, Carlos Duarte by raising funds to lay Jacob to rest and help his family with the cost of his burial. Thank you
