This is a testimony of who Jacob was – he has brought us together from all walks of life.
It is a stronger testimony of who we are, what we are made of. That we are sincere and are committed to each other despite most of us not knowing Jacob or each other. We are stronger together and really, a friend indeed.
It is with a heavy heart that we sadly announce the sudden passing of a Kenyan, Mr. Jacob Simatwa of Endebess, Kitale, Trans-Nzoia who has been living in the United States. Jacob died on January 24th, 2020 while living in St. Louis, Missouri-USA in a house he shared with another roommate. The Funeral Committee, Kenyans, Africans and well-wishers in the United States are coordinating fundraising efforts to raise funds to help repatriate the body back to Kenya and cover costs associated with the funeral following his family’s plea.
We are sincerely appealing to the Kenyan community and well-wishers in the United States and elsewhere to assist in raising funds to send Jacob’s body back to Kenya. Jacob was full of life, friendly and left a positive impact on all the people who met with him.
TARGET: The funeral planning committee has come up with a budget of US $17,000 (KShs. 1,674,500) to cover the funeral expenses and repatriation costs from the USA to Kenya. No amount is too big or small; any amount will be greatly appreciated.
