Jacob Reeves House Fire Fundraiser

Hi my name is Rhonda Reeves-Long and I am starting this GoFundMe for my son Jacob. On January 1st at 7pm Jacob’s dryer seized and caught on fire. When they broke into his house, they couldn’t see anything because of the dark smoke. They crawled in with gas masks and found the dryer to be the cause of the fire. More than 70 personnel were dispatched. It is a true miracle from god the fire did not spread as his music room (which holds multiple thousands of dollars of music equipment and sheet music). His entire house has severe smoke damage to the point where he is no longer allowed to occupy the home.

I am fundraising to help offset the costs of the house cleaning, temporary living expenses, and clothing replacement.

Jacob started his first year of teaching this past August at Fluvanna Middle School as the Band, Choir, and Guitar Director. He has grown the program to new height gaining local newspaper and television attention. His students have successfully put together 2 full concerts for parents and 6 full concerts for the entire student body this school year. Jacob also teaches at Fluvanna High School as the assistant marching band director, percussion ensemble club instructor, and staff for the Fluvanna Winter Guard. He stays active in his own musical performances by singing with the Jeffersonland Chorus in Charlottesville.

Jacob dedicates so much time to his students and peers that his house is the only place where he is able to relax and recharge without worry. This is no longer the case. Please help me in making this transition time in his life a little easier.
