Jacob and Nakisha were newly-weds just making their way in the world when COVID hit. Jacob, working with individuals with disabilities, was an essential worker who put his own personal safety and well-being aside to help others in need. Unfortunately, both Jacob and Nikki became sick with COVID a few weeks ago, but they both seemed to have weathered the storm and made it to the other side. Very unexpectedly, Jacob fell ill again a few days ago and ended up on a ventilator shortly thereafter.  Sadly, the damage to Jacob’s lungs was too severe and he passed away on May 21st leaving behind his young wife Nakisha. 

Funerals these days cost thousands of dollars, his hospital & ICU stays will also bring hefty bills and his wife his now solely responsible for covering all living expenses that were once shared. No one should have to mourn their young spouse while also worrying about bills, but especially not someone like Nakisha who is always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Nikki is always giving and putting the needs of others above her own, but now it’s time for us to put Nakisha’s needs first. Times are hard for everyone right now, but if you are able to provide any support, no matter the amount, please consider easing some of the financial burden that Nakisha is being forced to shoulder.  Any help will be greatly appreciated!
