Jacob needs life-saving treatment for stage 4 brain cancer!

Donation protected
Our little brother Jacob is 38 years old. He’s a devoted husband, a loving father to two beautiful young children (2 year old Chase and 3 month old Harper), and to us, he has always been “Jakey”, our baby bro. Even though he’s our little brother, we’ve spent our lives looking up to him for his strength, determination and incredible work ethic (and silly sense of humour!) - and now he is putting all of his best qualities to work as he fights the battle for his life with stage 4 brain cancer.

The Diagnosis
Earlier this spring, Jacob was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), an extremely aggressive and fast-growing stage 4 brain cancer, for which there is no cure and the mean survival rate is less than 2 years. It is one of the most challenging cancers to treat, and its effects can be devastating - not only to those diagnosed but also to their families. Over the past few months, Jacob has endured a lengthy hospital stay, brain surgery, countless radiation and chemo treatments - and has handled all of it with so much strength and a remarkably positive attitude (we don’t know how he does it!).
Despite all of this, Jacob faces each day with incredible courage, grace, and so much hope. His motivation comes from his deep love for his wife Amanda and their two young children, who give him strength and purpose every single day. Watching him navigate all of this has been so inspiring to witness, we are so proud of him!

Why We’re Fundraising
After consulting with doctors and specialists both here and internationally, Jacob has been identified as a strong candidate for an innovative immunotherapy treatment available in Germany. This ground-breaking therapy represents a much-needed beacon of hope, a chance to extend and improve his quality of life, and to help push forward scientific understanding for others facing this same diagnosis in the future.
Pursuing this treatment will mean monthly travel overseas for a year and significant financial cost to cover the costly treatment itself. We are reaching out to our friends, extended family, and community to help make this journey possible. It is our greatest chance and hope.

We’ve set our initial goal at $100,000 - this almost covers the first round of treatments that could give our brother more time and a fighting chance. The total cost is much higher, but we’re focusing on this immediate milestone first.
Every donation - no matter the size - brings Jacob one step closer to accessing this potentially life-changing care and being able to spend more precious time with his wife and children - and with all of us!

How You Can Help
In addition to monetary donations, anyone wishing to contribute in other ways - such as air miles, travel points, etc. - would be making a tremendous difference to support the 12 trips Jacob will have to make to Germany over the next year. Your kindness and generosity will help lighten the burden and make these treatments more accessible. Sharing this campaign with your friends and family would be so greatly appreciated. All of your messages of encouragement go a long way too! (Thank you in advance)

Our Brother, Our Hero
Jacob has always been someone who gives of himself without hesitation. He’s the first to help others, the first to offer encouragement, and now, it’s our turn to be there for him. His courage, resilience, and love continue to teach us what it truly means to fight with heart. We are endlessly proud of him and deeply grateful for every message, prayer, and act of support we’ve received from everyone who has reached out - thank you so much!
Thank you for standing with Jacob and with all of us - for helping us give him hope, time, and the chance to continue being the incredible husband, father, son, friend and brother we love so much.

From the bottom of our hearts and with so much gratitude,
