- Jake was working in the Pikes Peak Archery shop that he owns, when around 530-6pm Friday he collapsed having major chest pains. He was taken to the ER at crossing rivers where they ran all tests. EKG and everything came back normal. He was still having pains so they called for a Ct scan to check for blood clots and found a 5cm aortic aneurysm in his heart. Rochester was called and he was med flighted for emergency surgery to remove the aneurysm. He was still coherent but knew they needed to do what they had to for him to be stable and out of pain. He was in surgery for 8hours, they found a ruptured ulcer that if they hadn’t caught when they did (1hour later) we would have lost him. They got everything fixed and he now will go back in 6 months for another surgery to repair the bad aortic valve. He’s sedated still until they close up his chest and hoping today for that. God is good and was looking over him for sure! Makenna is due to have their baby in just a few short weeks so both Jake and Makenna will be off work for quite some time. Any amount that you can give would be greatly appreciated! There will be lots of travel expense back-and-forth to Rochester and of course the medical bills that have already started piling up. Keep sending those prayers as well please.
