As most of you know, on August 15th Jacob was in a tragic accident and airlifted to a hospital, but ultimately they were unable to save him.

Jacob was larger than life. He would give his shirt off his back for anyone and was always willing to lend a hand. Whether it was carrying heavy items or reaching things that most people needed a ladder to reach, he wouldn't hesitate to jump in and help. I remember when he was 16 and got $100 for his birthday, instead of saving it or buying something for himself, he took his friends to Olive Garden and paid for everyone. He had the biggest heart and lived life to the fullest, which for him meant spending every dime he made to make others feel loved.

Jacob's mom, my sister Shelly, worked 70-80 hours a WEEK for the entirety of her career to make sure her kids had everything they needed. Her son took after her in that way, always wanting to take care of others. Shelly has never once asked for anything from anyone, and never would. So here I am, asking for your help for our family.

Jacob was just starting out in his career so had little savings, and also had no employer-sponsored life insurance. As we prepare for a celebration of life in his honor on September 29th, in lieu of flowers, we are asking for monetary contributions which will be put towards this event, medical expenses and for care for his 8 month old German Shepard, Kaya.
