Jacob is my nephew and has always worked so hard to provide for his wife Jessica and daughter Ava.  Several months ago he began having health issues that took several hospital visits to diagnose.  Finally the diagnosis was an infection in his aortic valve which required open-heart surgery.   During this surgery they found a congenital defect causing an aortic aneurysm.  This will require another open-heart surgery to correct.  Blood blots were found in Jacob’s leg.  Complications resulted in three surgeries to save his leg and left Jacob with permanent limited mobility. Jacob’s medical team has told him he won’t be able to return to his former occupation of skilled carpenter and cabinet maker.  We all know how long it takes to navigate the social security disability system.  Until that is accomplished and Jacob can make adjustments in his work situation, we are asking family and friends to contribute if they are able.  But more than that, we  ask for your prayers and thoughts for Jacob, Jessica and Ava as they go through this difficult time.
