Jacob Hunter needs your prayers and support.
On July 16th, Jennifer and Ken heard words a parent never wants to hear: “Your son has cancer.” Jacob was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia called acute myeloid leukemia, AML for short. 400 kids a year in the US are diagnosed with AML.
Jacob has already finished his first round of chemotherapy. His treatment is inpatient so he will be at Nationwide Children's Hospital for 4-6 weeks at a time, home for a week or two, then back for 4-6 weeks for 4-5 rounds. His type of cancer is aggressive, so the doctors are treating it aggressively. The family feels so fortunate to have Children's right here in our backyard and his oncologist specializes in AML.
Jennifer, Ken, Chloe, and Jacob have been overwhelmed with everyone’s love, support, and prayers. So many people have asked how they can help support as Jacob battles cancer. While our friends don’t fully know what is ahead, they know it will be a long journey full of ups and downs. We have created this Go Fund Me account as a way to respond to all of your offers of support. The funds will help with Jacob’s ongoing medical expenses and incidentals that are already starting to arise. Our goal is to help them focus on his care while also balancing Chloe’s needs and Jennifer’s consulting business.
We thank you in advance for your love, prayers, and support.
