Jacob George’s Road to Recovery After Electrocution.

Words are not enough to describe how amazing our God is!
My husband, Jacob, was critically injured in a work place accident on Wednesday, February 19th. He was electrocuted on the job and thrown from his ladder. He was dead, instantly. In fact, he was dead for 34 minutes. By the grace of God, his coworker heard him hit the ground from the next room over and ran to his aid. If it were not for that coworker, and God, covering Jacob, he would not be here. This happened at 1:45 pm and he had no pulse for 34 minutes. Jacob was shocked 3 times between EMS arrival and arrival to the emergency room. After arriving in the ER they were finally able to resuscitate him and he was placed on a vent, for life support. Jacob suffered TWO cardiac arrest episodes.
Over the past few days, God has shown not just me, but hundreds of people, the miracle worker he is! From opening his eyes again, for the first time, to being weaned off of sedation with plans to remove his ventilator, God has shown up and shown out!! Jacob still has a long road to recovery, with weeks of PT, OT, and continuous medical care. I will also be out of work without pay while Jacob is recovering. He is going to need 24 hour care at home. God has given him strength in this time of need and we know he will continue to. Every thought, text, prayer, meal, etc., we are eternally grateful for, as is his family. We are blessed to be surrounded by our village of prayer warriors, near and far, and those prayers have been heard.
I ask that everyone please continue to pray for my sweet husband, Jacob, as he continues to recover and heal. I pray that God continues to keep him and give him the strength he needs to get through the next weeks and months ahead.
I pray for every doctor and nurse that has so gracefully and thoughtfully cared for him and been apart of his life saving measures.
Truly the most heart dropping moment of uncertainty, receiving that phone call and racing to be at his side.
To God be the glory.
