Jacob Ford's Recovery
Donation protected
Most of you are aware of the automobile accident Jake was involved in on March 26, 2021. His injuries were significant and included a traumatic brain injury which required a stay in intensive care. He has now stabilized to a level where he has transferred to Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He will be there for an extended period of time receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy with much uncertainty regarding how quickly and to what level he will recover. It is known that he still requires a surgery to repair fractures he sustained to his eye socket with other surgical procedures a possibility.
Everyone is grateful for the amazing medical care Jake received during his hospital stay in Huntsville and continues to receive in Atlanta, as well as for the tremendous love and support provided by friends and family. Jake is working very hard every day to get better and is making steady progress, however, we know that the road ahead will be long and many challenges remain.
Jake is fortunate in that he has medical insurance through his employer, but more so through the fact that he has loving parents who are willing to do and give everything to be at his side through every step of this difficult process. While everyone has remained focused on Jake, it is recognized that family expenses are beginning to accumulate and insurance will not cover everything.
The objective of this post is to allow those of us that care so deeply for Jake and his family to relieve some of their financial burden so that their focus and energy can be directed where it is needed most. Thank you for your support and God bless to the Ford family.
