Jacob brewer

Thursday afternoon my son Jacob was hit by lightning on the beach. they say your chances of being struck by lightning is 1 in 3000.  well Jacob has always told us he has bad luck and we would tell him no there is no such thing. After this i am sure he will try to tell us again. On Thursday we were enjoying a beautiful day on the beach. We were just about to wrap it up and take  the kids for ice cream. When a storm started up in the distance. We had gotten everything gathered up and was walking back across the sand there were people all around us walking too. The next thing I knew all of us were on the ground my ear was ringing I had no idea what had happened. I look over and Jacob was foaming at the mouth. I started screaming please we need CPR! Call 911! Then  screamed to God please, please don't take Jacob!! A pre -med student ran over and started CPR. The Storm had moved in quickly, the wind was crazy and it started pouring down rain, everyone was still trying to help Jacob but we had to get off the beach. A Sheriff's officer came running to us in the rain as we were carrying Jacob's lifeless body and said drop him, he started doing cpr again. Finally a medical cart came out and grabbed him. They put him in the back of the ambulance. He had no pulse still they worked o him for 45 minutes. Finally we had a pulse and they quickly transported him to Children's hospital in Tampa Bay. The doctor told me i was going to lose my son but we had faith and we just prayed. So today my son whispered I love you too with a tube dow his throat. Its a miracle! An absolute miracle. We are not out of th woods yest though he has started running a fever they are checking to see if he has an infection. The had to cut his arms and legs all the way down to get circulation to his hand and feet otherwise he could have lost them. He has burns all over his body from the lightning. the lightning struck his chest and exited through his toe. Poor Ashley is traumatized , the hospital is looking into getting her some care. As she is having panic attacks and absolutely terrified of storms. Which I guess happens every afternoon here in Florida. We have found a hotel near the hospital but it's pretty rough. Please, please pray for us. Jacob needs as many prayers as he can get. --Barbara

Please donate if you can help. Jack's daughter and family were on vacation in
Florida, living in Texas. The bills and cost of staying in a motel are already mounting and any donation would help.
