With the blessing of Shaun and Craig Booker, we are creating this award
“Memorial Music Award/Bursary” in Jacob's honor.
What better way to continue his legacy –
than to have it shared for years to come with future musicians - just like him!
This will be awarded in Jacob's name and memory, to 1 Brookside
Jr High student in grade 9 and 1 Halifax West High grade 12
student who shares a love for music, who portrays exemplary character,
and ideally has a passion for playing guitar or piano.
Jacob was a shining light, that wherever he went, he brought a smile to your face.
Whether it was performing at the PRCC Jam sessions, biking on ATV's, boating,
or even the beaches of Cuba
- you could be sure to find him playing his guitar, singing &
doing what he loved - bringing family, friends and even people he just met, together.
Jacob had a special gift of including you in whatever was going on and he made you
feel like you were always a priority and someone special. The more he made people laugh, the better he liked it, he was a genuine old soul that just made the world a better place.
I know he must be having a time "up there" singing with his Saturday Night Classic Heroes! And for certain there is a ”Knock-Knock” song being sung there now!
Any contribution - big or small is greatly appreciated, and even if you can't donate at this time, leave a message for Shaun, Craig & Logan if you would like to share your stories with them.
Jakey, "Your string may be broken but your song will live on forever."
