Me and Stormy

For the last 9 months, I have been in a hotel room, using savings to survive as I experienced increasingly more and more challenging health issues.

These began a year ago, with a fluke condition arising that caused me to be unable to sit down. Hoping it would improve, I waited but things got worse. I lost the ability to sit, drive, and be driven anywhere. Things got progressively worse over time. At this point, things were too traumatic for everyone in my family, and I moved to the hotel.

Being alone has been the challenge and nightmare of my life. My days have been spent laying on my stomach in constant pain. This has caused a snowballing of other health problems, gastrointestinal problems, and most recently, cardiac pain.

This has made each and every day a living hell. Being on my own, I spend every second fighting to survive. I can barely stand, cannot bend over, cannot do anything. I can't even sit upright in a bed, or on a sofa. This isn't a vacation. It is a living hell. All I want is to have my body back and be back working and providing for myself.

My savings are now gone, and if things with family don't work, I have nowhere to go but my car. The hotel and food and other expenses costs about $100 a day

All of this has been complicated by my cat, as many of you know. He has IBD and has to be fed every two hours, day and night, or he vomits. This has taken such a toll on me and him, I've tried so hard to keep him going and happy. He is happy, but he is skin and bone. We adjusted his meds and he was improving, but unfortunately now has a nonhealing corneal ulcer. The next step would be an expensive and challenging eye removal surgery ($1,200ish). Im not sure whether in good conscious I could put him through that, or use donations to fund that. Money is tight for everyone. I will leave it up to the vet. If they don't recommend it or I cant fund it, the first $400 to $500 of donations will be used to put Stormy to sleep peacefully.

My family is helping me in many ways. They have been covering medical expenses and insurance. They help me sell on ebay, and bring me items and offer to transport to doctors if it were possible. They support me in many ways and I am thankful. We are working on figuring out a temporary housing solution, so that I can make one final push to get clearance for surgery and the other medical help I need. But any hiccups and I will be out on my own, and at this point it will mean a shelter or my my car.

I am scared and need help. Any funds will be used for hotel and food, and as said, with Stormy. If there is a large benefactor, one option is to pay $5,000 for a private primary care provider to help with the medical complexities. But that is unlikely.
