Jacob and Dakota starting over

Jacob and I were in the middle of moving to Washington, when we decided to store our belongings at my grandfather house in Paradise, CA - as a halfway point. Jake had just gotten home from an underway and we had plans to find a new home, well all of those plans changed the morning of 11/08/2018. I woke up to see a large dark cloud of smoke in the sky and my family and I had no choice but to pack up the essentials, grab our animals, and get out of Paradise as fast as we could. Jake was in San Diego at this time, trying to get to me as fast as he could. I had no time to get any of our belongings at my grandfathers home. My family and I made it to Chico safely and Jake drove through the night to be with us. We found out on 11/09/2018 that my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins all lost their homes. Jake and I lost all of our belongings, all that we have ever owned. We recently got married and lost all of our wedding gifts along with my wedding dress. We are all heartbroken, the town of Paradise is heartbroken, I lost my childhood. The Camp Fire has been devastating, but we are strong and we are safe. I am so blessed to have my family with me.
