Jacob and Carissa Abbott
Jacob was at practice Wednesday night at Noise Park and had a pretty bad get off. He suffered a left femur fracture as well as bilateral pelvis fractures. Early Thursday morning he went into the operating room for his pelvis. All went well even though the fractures were worse than they had originally thought. Friday morning he went into the operating room to repair the left femur fracture and all went well.
Due to his injuries, his lungs are very weak. They have moved him into the ICU where they have sedated him and put him on a ventilator to help him breathe. When he becomes stable they will be moving him to rehabilitation to help him be able to learn how to use a wheelchair and some other skills. Jacob is looking at spending at least 10 weeks confined to a wheelchair until his hips are able to support his weight. Jacob and Carissa have always given everyone the shirts off their backs in times of need. Carissa has been next to Jacob since the accident.
And now they need us.
We are asking for your support in lessening the burden of medical bills, as Jacob will not be attending work for awhile. Your love and support is appreciated.
