Jacky Haney Memorial and Cremation Fund

Hi, My name is Leigh Ann Mcwhorter, I am starting this fund as requested and with permission from the family. Donations for cremation and memorial go directly to a designated bank account only accessible by the beneficiary, Serena Levens.

William “Jacky” Haney,

Also known as “Jacky Shack” and “Jacks” left us here on earth to join the spirit world on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. Many are still asking what happened. As many know he had a heart attack last April. Unfortunately, it happened again this past Saturday, this one took him from us all.

During this devastating time of loss, the family needs our help and support. Serena the woman we know as Jacky’s greatest love, Bless her for what would have been their 20th anniversary this past Sunday. She has taken such wonderful care of this one-of-a-kind man, whom we all immensely love. It’s our turn to step up and help her out in covering this cost.

Jacky will be cremated and as more details become available all will be announced. Serena, Debra Haney and family are working out details and doing their best to make sure time is given for the oh-so-many that love him and greatly want to be present for a memorial and celebration of life. However, an important part of making it happen is funding.

Over the years Jacky and Serena have opened the doors to a great number of friends and loved ones. It is my goal and hope to see that we all come together to help make it happen.

The outpouring of love and support all have shown the last few days and for the time ahead has been felt and is greatly appreciated.

I will privately provide a mailing address or help make arrangements to get your contributions to Serena as soon as possible. We ask that anyone wishing to send flowers please rather consider making a monetary donation towards the memorial and cremation cost. For those still wishing to also provide flowers or other items, as soon as memorial details are worked out we will make them available.

There is no denying Jacky was one of a kind! Nobody was a stranger to him, though a stranger that didn’t know him would sure quickly get a taste. Maybe standoffish and in awe of this red-headed wild man, but it wouldn’t take long before they realized, Jacky Haney was their new best friend. Did he sin? Sure, we all do! Did he do life his way? ABSOLUTELY! That was part of what made him Jacky! “Jacky, with a KY, not an IE, that’s a girl’s spelling!” he often got stern about. Then there was the loyalty, self-taught wisdom, humor and all in the same could be serious as all get out. He had your back no matter what all while giving logic to the situation. Rarely holding back in telling it like it was. The man could teach a 6-week-old pup, even blind or deaf to an old senior dog a new trick in a matter of an hour! He held the proof, you could teach an old dog, new tricks! There is no doubt being in his presence no matter the mood you arrived in, you would soon be having one of the best belly-aching laughs and one heck of a great and memorable time. When it comes to this pard, Jacky Shack, there are no amount of words to describe him all in one. Please feel free to share your condolences, memories and photos here or on social media (those that are appropriate haha! Or not!) for loved ones and friends to reminisce. I cant imagine the reunification happening above. He has now joined Cotton, Spider, Keagen, Kmac, Renea (who we know is having fun keeping them in line, haha) Kerry, Al and too many others that left us way too soon!

To wrap this up;

Another no-denying fact along with great love for his family and friends was again the greatest for Serena. I know we all think it, how did she keep up!? Saint she is! Any and every amount will help her and the family as they prepare for this final farewell and celebration of his life. This is not how she imagined ever having to spend their 20th anniversary. The man who said it best

“what it do, what it do!?”

would have great pride and appreciation for all who support his greatest love, and his family during this time.
