Baby Jack's Heart
Donation protected
I am a family member of my beloved cousin, Shelly. As many of you know, Michelle and Justin’s baby
boy was diagnosed in utero with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is a rare type of congenital heart disease. In order to give their sweet little miracle the best possible care, Michelle and Justin have had to make some major life changes. Michelle stopped working and relocated to Dallas to be close to a hospital capable of providing the care that Jack requires. This move is for at least 6 months. Despite the immense worry and pain they feel for their little guy, Shelly and Justin continue to express their thankfulness. They are touched by the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. They are grateful for the caring hands of their medical staff. And, they are overwhelmed by the generosity of MAA-Open Arms that has provided a place to stay in Dallas. If you know this couple well, you know of their generous spirits. They are givers. Givers sometimes have a difficult time being receivers. This is the reason why I wanted to set up a GoFundMe account for them. The cost of what insurance is not covering, going to one income, and maintaining two households is quite the financial hit. This fund would allow us to come together to support a family we love dearly. We are unable to take Jack’s challenges from him, but we do have the power to help in some small way!
