Hello World! Meet Baby Jackson! Baby Jackson made his grand entrance into the world in Orlando Flordia on January 18th 2017.
He was 5 weeks 1 day early!
Well, Jackson who is currently 9weeks old is fighting a battle at such a young age! Jackson has Congenital Hyperinsulinemia, also known as HI. Which is a disorder in which the insulin cells of the pancreas, called beta cells, secrete too much insulin. Excess insulin causes low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Below is a heartfelt post made on Facebook by Jackson's mother........
"Today our beautiful baby is 8 weeks old. It was 8 days before I could hold him. 28 days before I saw his face without tubes. We have battled repeated low blood sugar's. We now have a "WHY". Hyperinsulinemia is rare, but has been our reality. There is now light at the end of the tunnel. Sleepless nights and long days of research has paid off. Tonight we are nervously waiting on insurance approval to be transferred to CHOP. Let's get this pancreas fixed!" (Posted on March 15th)
Since then, Jackson and his family received the news they've been longing for! Cinga approved their admission to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
(CHOP is ranked nationally in 10 pediatric specialties)!
The family will need assistance with travel and out of pocket expenses like hospital bills, gas, tolls, food while traveling back and forth to the hospital, and will suffer loss of wages from taking time off from work.
Let's help Jackson & his family! Your support IS and WILL be greatly aprreciated! Thank you!!! (Every single solitary bit counts)❤️
P.S. Jackson's mother wants other new mommies to be aware so they are not left in the dark like she was, so for more information please visit http://congenitalhi.org/
