Hi, my name is Jamie, and I am fundraising on behalf of Matt and Heather Rainford (Hill) and their son Jackson Hill. As some of you may know, Jackson was diagnosed

last year with a Colloid Cyst on his brain. Doctors have been monitoring it closely over this past year. At the time of diagnosis, the original plan was to hold off on surgery until Jackson was about 22 years old, as his brain and skull would be fully developed. Sadly that is no longer an option. Over this past year, the cyst has become life-threatening for Jackson. He is at risk of having his 3rd ventricle blocked every day, which would cause his cerebral spinal fluid to be cut off, resulting in sudden death. Surgery is scheduled for June 21st with a team of doctors. Over the last few days, Jackson has been showing signs of new and worsening symptoms; the goal is to make it to surgery with the team, but if things continue to worsen, he will be taken in for emergency surgery. It is a terrifying and uncertain time for the family. We are unsure what to expect after surgery, as there are always risks. I am asking you to please help this amazing family and this remarkable young man. They will need help with paying what insurance does t cover for his surgery (we were told it would not cover all of his surgery) as there will be a substantial amount to be paid by Matt and Heather, as well as parking, fuel, lodging, ect. during Jackson's stay at the hospital and special clothing and other items Jackson is going to need during and after his hospital stay. Bills are another thing they will need help with. As can be expected Matt will be missing some work to be there for surgery as well as for caring for him after surgery, as Heather is disabled.
