Jackson McFly Emergency Medical Fund

Jackson McFly is my 8 year old rescue Chi-Jack Russell. He recently began losing weight. Jackson is well cared for. I adopted him at a rough time in my life. He has been the one constant thing for the last 8 years: my travel partner, my best friend, my heart. Despite being on a monthly preventative and receiving all the care a best friend should, he contracted the tickborne disease anaplasmosis. He was treated with doxycycline but didn't improve. An emergency trip to the vet showed he had elevated kidney levels that indicate serious problems. He was admitted on Easter and received an IV and will underwent several tests and scans. It was determined that he had severe pancreatitis, an acute kidney injury and kidney disease. All this happened within a few weeks and I'll never know why or how. I've been posting updates below. I've currently spent over $9,000 on his care. I truly believe there is hope, but it's going to take an army. To me, he's worth it. He's the reason I chose to go on living 8 years ago. He's the reason I didn't quit on myself. So I won't quit on him now.
