Dear friends, family and community,
Our sweet boy, Jackson (Jack) Graham Chohany, will turn two years old on June 16th. We are so blessed to have our sweet, kind and happy son in our lives and all of you, too.
Few know that Jack was born with congenital hemihypertrophy and has stage one hydronephrosis. He is healthy at this time, but hemihypertrophy does increase his chances of a related childhood cancer so they monitor the condition closely. Jackie also will be undergoing phrenectomy (tongue tie) surgery in the near future. The first two of these conditions require regular monitoring, specialized care, and ongoing check ups.
So — instead of gifts or a traditional registry for his special day, we are asking loved ones and kind-hearted supporters to consider contributing to the Jackson Graham Chohany Care Fund.
Your donations help with outstanding debt for hospital emergency c-section birth and NICU stay, insurance bills, routine ongoing scans, care expenses, treatment during this critical stage of his development, along with helping to support us financially for his upcoming surgery.
This fundraiser is a way we wanted to extend to loved ones to support Jack’s healthiest and happiest start. We have reached out to the community before during my very difficult stillbirth loss of Christopher, and subsequent very high risk pregnancy journey to being Jack into the world. So, even though it is hard to ask for help, it can make all the difference in the world and I wish not to be too proud to ask for your help by being part of our family, in a way, by making any contribution you can.
We believe the goodness of humanity Is made of both giving and receiving in community, lending our hands and lifting voices, raising, honoring and stewarding the worth in all people and the longing for wellbeing we all share, and which we build In service to one another.
