Jackson's Journey to Beat Leukemia

Donation protected
On Thursday, November 12, Everett and Carrie Boboth received a diagnosis for their 7-year-old son Jackson that is any parent's worst nightmare: Leukemia.

He was admitted that night to Children’s Hospital in Seattle, and is currently in their PICU. He has a large mass that’s impacting his lung and fluid around his heart. He started chemo less than 24 hrs from his initial diagnosis.

Further diagnostics revealed his leukemia to be T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). We are so grateful for God's kindness in that this particular type of leukemia typically responds well to treatment, however it will be long and arduous and could stretch into years. At this point, Carrie and Everett are looking at a minimum of a 6 month relocation to the Seattle area for treatment, followed by extensive ongoing treatment at a cancer facility a bit closer to home.

Which brings us to our humble ask. The medical bills loom large and wildly unknown (and frankly overwhelming), but they are just the beginning. Housing costs, transportation to and from Seattle for continued treatment, and a whole slew of incidentals add up quickly. While a situation like this is a nightmare in itself, an ask like this is even further beyond Carrie & Everett's comfort zone. But we have had so many people reach out, we - as their family - wanted to create a centralized place for people to help.

The Lord’s graces have been many already, and we are so grateful for so much. Even more than tangible funds, we would ask for your prayers. Please pray for Jackson and his team of specialists, for the family as they adjust to these big changes in the coming year(s), and for God to be made much of through this. The physical logistics of the coming days pale in comparison to this opportunity to be a witness of the goodness of God.

We serve a big God who does big things. We trust in His sovereignty and we know that He is - at all times and in all ways - working for our good and for His glory.

Soli Deo Gloria
