Jack's Yorkshire Marathon for Abi Ringrose
Donation protected
Thank you for visiting my gofundme page. As many that know me are aware, each year I try and raise money for people less fortunate than myself, this year is no different other than the fact it’s a lot more personal. On the 15th October I'll be running the Yorkshire Marathon, raising funds for Abi Ringrose.
Whilst working as a physiotherapist at Lincoln County Hospital, Abi also plays for Lincoln City Women but more than that she is a close family friend who took her time to visit me in hospital earlier this year, I feel like it’s only right to return that kindness.
Unfortunately, whilst she was in Australia watching the Women's World Cup, Abi fell ill and was quickly admitted to hospital in Sydney. After extensive tests and scans, she received the devastating diagnosis of an aggressive and rare form of ovarian cancer. After deterioration , Abi had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a large mass and as much of the disease as possible. Now, she's facing multiple rounds of intensive chemotherapy in London.
At only 22 years of age, this news has been incredibly shocking and challenging for both Abi and her family. Donations to this cause will go towards the tough times ahead made more challenging by extensive travel to London.
Any donation, no matter how big or small or even a share of this page would not only mean the world to me but will truly make a significant difference to Abi and help towards the care she receives and aftercare process.
As always, thank you for your compassion and support.
