Hello, I'm Jack. I'm 24 years old, and about two years ago, I was working out when something in my hip gave out. I was in severe pain and dropped to my knees during warm-up lifting, and was limping and unable to sit properly. I thought I had pulled or torn a muscle, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

I went to the doctor two weeks later, and after testing and imaging, nothing was found. Since then, I've continued going to doctors, getting more imaging done, and fighting insurance companies to get the help I need.

After 9+ MRIs, 3 CT scans, 20+ X-rays, and countless blood tests, nothing has been found. We're now in the third year of dealing with this and still searching for answers.

My life has completely changed. I went from being active in the gym, going out, and visiting friends to sitting inside most days, dealing with constant pain. I can't even go for brief walks without hurting. My world has gotten much smaller, and it's hard to see an end to this.

While I can't see an end to the pain, I want to do everything I can to live as normal a life as possible. The best solution I can find is to get a wheelchair and become an ambulatory wheelchair user. Most people think wheelchair users are paralyzed or can't walk at all, but that's not always true. Many people use wheelchairs for mobility support while still being able to walk short distances.

The problem is that the wheelchairs I need cost thousands of dollars. Yes, there are cheaper options, but I'm not physically capable of lifting heavier wheelchairs. More importantly, cheaper wheelchairs wouldn't provide the support I need. They would actually cause more pain instead of helping. These cheaper options, can still costs hundreds of dollars, be up to 100-200lbs, and have little-to-no padding. Unfortunately anything medical related; especially medical utility devices are expensive.

I'm looking to purchase one of these wheelchairs:

Both are lightweight, highly recommended, and would provide the support I need to go outside, go shopping, visit museums, attend concerts, and do other things that would help me get my life back.

I know this situation sucks, and I hate having to ask for help. But this wheelchair would let me be independent again and participate in life while I continue looking for medical answers. Any help would mean a lot.
