Hi all! Thank you so much for your interest in my gender-affirming journey, it means the world to me!

Mid-August is going to be one of the most important periods of my life, but also one of the most difficult financially.

I will be out of work for more than a month after my top surgery, due to my position being physically strenuous. On top of that, my rent has increased tremendously since I first moved into my apartment, but circumstantially I was unable to move out to save money. I will be out of work for 2-3 pay periods, which puts me out of 2 months rent alone. The small business I work for will do what they can to get me disability, but only after the recovery has begun can we start a claim, and of course with the state of this country, nothing is guaranteed.

This fundraiser is to make sure I'll make rent and still be able to afford food, my pet's needs, emergencies, rides to and from surgery and appointments, and any other aftercare supplies I may need.

On the flip side! If my disability claim is accepted and I do indeed get paid back, any funds left will then be put into my savings for my next surgery! I will no longer qualify for Medicaid after this year and the cost for my next surgery (6-20k) may not be fully covered. So if I can reach my goal or even above and beyond I’d be so grateful!!
