Jack's Dental Procedure

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am fundraising to pay for my son Jack's dental procedures. As many friends may know, Jack is nine years old and has level 3 autism. We have been trying to get his dental issues taken care of for quite some time, and the dentist offices covered under his insurance have been unwilling to help and/or keep canceling appointments. This is not just an issue of having his teeth taken care of though. Kids with autism react to pain quite differently than kids without autism. Jack's behavioral issues have been escalating to the point of being dangerous. We've had to involve many services to assist with his dangerous behavior including inpatient mental health, Brevard County Sheriff's Offices, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Florida Department of Children and Families, and more. There is absolutely no question that Jack's dental issues are causing his behavior to escalate. These dental procedures will help keep him safe and able to stay in the home with us, where he should be, for longer than he could otherwise.

We have been fortunate that my mom and my partner Brian's parents are willing and able to cover the out-of-pocket costs for the procedures, but they are taking that money from much-needed funds that they need to live off of. Money from this fundraiser will go toward paying them back. We are aware of how blessed we are that we have loved ones who are able and willing to contribute and that many people do not have this. We also know we may not be able to raise even close to the full amount. I simply ask that if you are able and find it in your heart to support this, please donate what you can. And share.

Jack's dental procedure is on October 4th and includes $4,675 worth of dental work, including simple extractions, crowns, filling cavities, and rebuilding his broken front teeth that have become dangerous, as well as $1,100 for the necessary IV sedation.
