Jack's Attack on Cancer
Donation protected
Clint, Emily, Scarlett (7), and Jack (2) are one of the most wonderful little families you will ever meet. Recently, baby Jack was taken to Children’s hospital for tummy issues. After an ultrasound it was discovered he had a tumor in his abdomen. After more scans, tests, a surgical biopsy, and an agonizing 6 day wait for the results, they were informed he has a type of cancer called Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma. Another scan and bone marrow samples revealed that the cancer is isolated to the abdomen and has not spread to other areas of his body. At this time Jack has a 42 week treatment plan of chemotherapy and will undergo a surgery to remove the tumor in time.
After the initial 16 days in Children’s Hospital, Jack was able to go home, but unfortunately on Christmas Eve they headed back to Children's Hospital with a fever and weight loss. Jack was given an NG tube to help him get the nutrients he needs to keep his strength up. On New Year's Eve the Freyeisen family headed home for the second time.
Jack's diagnosis will mean many life changes for the whole family, including multiple hospital visits, social limitations, activity restrictions, and financial setbacks. They have an AMAZING support system of family, friends, and even strangers who will continue to rally around them.
Any donations made will go directly to the Freyeisen family to use for travel, gas, food and medical expenses as needed.
