Jack's 70th Happy (Hearing) B-day
Donation protected
If you’ve met our dad Jack, then you know he is one of the most caring and bighearted people around, always supporting his church, hosting refugee families and others in tough situations in his and our mom’s home, helping neighbors or mentoring kids in need, he never ceases to surprise us and others with his generosity.

He has been having hearing difficulties for years due to tinnitus and was wearing hearing aids to help, however, unfortunately they went missing several months ago while he was refereeing a basketball game. For months we’ve been encouraging him to get a new pair, but he consistently puts others and their needs before his own and simply hasn't felt justified to 'splurge' on such a big-ticket purchase for himself. Therefore, for his 70th birthday, we wanted to help replace them and are asking for your support.
We know it may not be the snazziest present for the big 7-0, but we want him to be able to enjoy life to the fullest and stay connected to those around him. In truth, it probably comes in handy sometimes to simply “not hear” – we can bet he has used this to his advantage a time or two as well.

Our dad never asks for anything and would most likely be mortified that we created this page, but we wanted to give him something he so deserves.
For this reason, we would like to ask you - our family and friends - to please kindly contribute to this gift for Jack, so that he won't have any choice but to do something for himself and replace them at last. We know he will be incredibly appreciative and moved when he receives this gift. However big or small, your contribution will be cherished. Please do leave a note when you donate too, so we can add it to his birthday card. Lastly, since we want to surprise him, we’d kindly ask you not to mention this ahead of his birthday.
Thank you so much in advance for helping to make our dad's 70th birthday an extra special one!
Sincerely,
Dan, Lucy, Cath and Pete
