Here is his story...
On the evening of July 8th, Jack was not feeling well & could not see out of one of his eyes. His wife, Elizabeth, took him to the hospital and the doctors concluded that he had a mini stroke. While at the hospital, he suffered a second mini stroke which had impaired his language and the right side of his body. Jack had been in good heatlh, so this came as a shock and puzzled everyone including doctors as to how his carotid artery became blocked.
It turns out that 10 days prior to the stroke Jack had been in a car accident, however he walked away seemingly fine from it. After discussion with the doctors, undergoing a series of tests, and looking at the timeline of events, it was determined that there was critical trauma from the accident to the carotid artery that went undetected for those 10 days, therefore causing the strokes.
Jack is the husband of wife Elizabeth, and father to 2 amazing boys, John and Tom. Together their family is holding strong, but unfortunately this event will have a massive impact on the family. Jack is the primary income provider in their family and Elizabeth is taking a leave of absence from her jobs to be with Jack. Once he is stable enough, Jack will enter into physical threapy to regain his strength and speech back - this alone will be a long process.
With the hospital & recovery expenses, it will be a challenge for the family, but they are staying positive & strong! So, if anyone is willing to donate anything at all ($1, $5, $20, whatever!) to Jack's recovery fund, it will be greatly appreciated by the entire family!
