Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My mom Jackie has recently been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. We are still in the process of finding out if it originated in the ovaries. This happened suddenly, but she knew something felt wrong and we are so glad she asked for medical attention. As you can imagine, this news has been incredibly difficult for our family. She is the heart and soul of our family—always putting others first and bringing light into every room she enters. Not only has she been the glue for our family, but she has been a dedicated and cherished waitress at the Regal Deli for over a decade.

As she begins her treatment journey, she will be at work as much as she can (since she loves and misses it so much). However, because of her symptoms she will unfortunately not be able to serve her beloved customers at work as much as she usually does. While she is focusing all her energy on fighting this disease, we want to ensure she doesn’t have to worry about how to make ends meet.
