Hey Everybody! It's Jackie, and I am continuing my dance journey by training at The Ailey School in New York! I have graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from UNT. Now I have the opportunity to continue my education through Ailey's Certificate Program. I will complete the program in three years, with my start date being September 2nd, 2025. There, I will strengthen my technique and showcase my choreography. I am excited for this opportunity, and I need your support!

After being accepted into the program, I soon learned that Ailey does not have housing available for me, and I have to find my own living space. I have applied for financial aid and was awarded enough to cover my living expenses. However, I will not receive the disbursement until mid-October, although the program starts September 2nd with an orientation on August 27th. I have a part-time job in this red state of Texas, but I have not been able to save near enough to cover the booking cost to solidify my housing. The booking cost for housing is $3500 (first month’s rent, security deposit + last month’s rent, and booking fees). I need the $3500 as soon as possible. Living in this administration has been stressful, but can you help me by contributing? If you would like, after I have received my financial aid disbursement in October, I can refund your contribution to you. Please let me know.

The average housing cost in New York is between $1,600 and $2,500 for a clean apartment in a safe neighborhood. If you would like to contribute to my rent during my three years here, I would also greatly appreciate it!
