Jackie fought very hard and wanted so badly to live. I’m beyond saddened to say, she lost her fight last night.

UPDATE 2/3/23

Jackie has asked me to let you know, yesterday doctors said she may have 6 months to live. She’s no longer receiving cancer treatments. She’s on meds to try and make her comfortable. Jackie truly appreciates your continued support, prayers and well wishes. She wants her story told. . .so I’ll update here as much as I can.

UPDATE FROM JACKIE. . . .

Jackie asked me to tell you, anything you can help with is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! She’s not comfortable asking for help, none of us are. BUT, one treatment alone is $7,000 every time! So any amount will definitely help. Currently Jackie is still in the hospital working on managing the pain and other other things. She cannot walk, but she is trying soooooo very hard to. She’s doing everything she can to be at her son Brandon’s college graduation.

Hi I’m Christine Krueger, high school friend of Jackie Shanahan’s. She is literally fighting for her life right now and needs all of our help please. Those who know Jackie know she’s one of the most positive, vibrant, happy go lucky wonderful people we know. NOW, however, she’s really scared and wants to live. Please help us relieve some of her financial stress. Donations will be used for her mortgage, medical bills, living expenses and anything she desires to survive and prolong her life.

In Jackie’s words “The only reason I am posting on FB is I believe in the power of prayer. I believe in faith. My faith is being tested. I will continue to believe in God and his healing hands. I've received a set back. The cancer has spread to my brain/brain mets. I'm stage 4. No cure. But I have faith that if we all pray this can be controlled and my life prolonged. My heart is shattered. I will continue everyday in my power to fight this disease. Please keep me in your prayers. ”

March 28, 2022 Jackie was diagnosed with breast cancer.

September 20, 2022 they discovered a second type of breast cancer.

December 29, 2022 the cancer spread to her brain.
