Jackies big send off!

Donation protected
Here is a little story about our Jackie:

Jackie was a selfless, caring and the happiest soul ever. Even with her disabilities!
Jackie was diagnosed with MS at the age of 28 which over time progressed and left her bed bound. But don’t be fooled she still had the mouth to tell you how it was!
Although divorced, her heart was also broken when her soul mate passed in Christmas of 2008 suddenly with leukaemia. She always used to tell me how “Bay was the best”.
with this sudden passing this left her only son to become man of the house.
John has dedicated his entire life from the age of 12 ensuring his mom was feed, watered, warm and loved. He was and always will be the apple of her eye. From personal care, hospital trips, keeping the house running you name it. He has done it.
Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions being lifted Jackie was exposed to Covid and with 72 hours of her first positive test she was blue lighted to hospital.
an hour after she was there we received the call she wouldn’t make it until the morning.
we arrived as fast as we could and guess what, although she was scared she continued to crack jokes and piss about like we all knew her.
myself and john came home with a glimmer of hope but received the same call again, this time once I arrived things were a lot different, she was fighter that’s for bloody sure and she was not ready to give up, determined to watch her grandchildren get married, I egged her on and comforted her and reminded her she had dealt with worse than this before.
fearing the worst we FaceTimed her son, they cried, the said how much they loved eachother, they said their goodbyes.
Jackie then told me “Jayann, I’m so tired” I rubbed her hair and pampered her telling her not to be scared and I’ll be here as soon as she wakes up. She stayed sleeping and carried on for another 5 days, again beating all of the doctors odds like usual!
Jackie finally became at peace with her Son, John, by her bed side listening to her favourite UB40 tracks after a week of battling covid pneumonitis.

therefore I have set this go fund me page up to try and raise some funds for the send off she deserves. Although she will be reunited with her heart and soul (meaning her forever plot is already in situ) we have been hit with a £5,000 funeral cost. This is Bog standard with no added extras. John dedicated his life to his mom meaning his only income of carers allowance will soon come to a finish. I am also a student nurse and we have 2 little boys under 5.

pennies make pounds and pounds look after us and any money raised will go towards footing the funeral costs and giving Jackie the send off she deserves. (Sorry though wench I don’t think they will do a horse and carriage from Stafford to rugeley!)

if you have gotten this far into my hefty message I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even if you are unable to donate sharing the page would mean the world.

take care and in the words of Jax herself “don’t cry at my funeral, rave”

forever and always
