Update: October 27th
Hello everyone, I wanted to provide a small update on Aunt Jackie.

On October 22, Aunt Jackie was moved to a group home for hospice care. She is being kept as comfortable as possible but you can tell she is still struggling with pain and stiffness.

We are all visiting her throughout the day and she has moments where her personality comes through for a few seconds, and we cherish those moments, as fleeting as they are.

However, we are not sure how long we will be able to enjoy these moments. For that reason, I am going to increase our goal in hopes of covering this month and next months care. If we go over that, I know that we will need these funds to cover services and care after she flys high with the angels.

Until then, we will enjoy these moments, and if you’re wanting to visit, please reach out to her husband Alex or my mom Shirley to arrange it. I’m sure Aunt Jackie will enjoy a short visit from her friends.

October 19th.
Hello to the many Family and Friends of my Aunt Jackie. It is with great sadness that I reach out on her behalf to request your help.

For the past several years Aunt Jackie has been fighting liver cirrhosis. About a month ago, she was rushed to the hospital and after being stabilized we were told she suffered a stroke that caused her liver to push toxins into her brain leading to irreparable damage and has entered end-stage liver failure.

With her many medical needs, her care team has recommended that Aunt Jackie transitions to a care facility with hospice se. While her insurance covers some of these charges it won’t cover all. The facility requires at least $3,500 for a down payment, in addition to other fees and the monthly “rent.” The hospital is pushing for us to find this facility as soon as possible.

Aunt Jackie has always been there for her family, friends, customers, and strangers. She will drop everything she is doing, give her last dime, and the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She took in and supported strays from every walk of life. Now she is in need for us to do the same and help support her.

If you can help out, even in prayer, everything will be greatly appreciated to help her and her family in her time of need.

We will strive to keep everyone update, but please, lift Aunt Jackie up in your prayers and positive thoughts.
