Jackie Peltier

Jackie Peltier of Hunter’s Point, formerly of Izaty’s and Bayview has recently been diagnosed with Adenoid Carcinoma. Adenoid Carcinoma is a rare cancer that is found in gland tissues.

Last summer Jackie was experiencing some issues with swelling in her arms, which led to her having some doctor visits and finding out that she had lupus. Jackie’s kidneys and pancreas were getting affected and failing because of this which led to her getting a cat scan of her pancreas and that is when they found cancer.

From there she went on to have biopsies done on her lung and neck (lymphnoids) and those confirmed that she had stage 3 Adenoid Carcinoma.

Starting Tuesday 3/14/2023 she will be meeting with her doctors to plan her treatments and the plan of attack on this cancer, her lupus will play a big role in this and cause issues if surgery is needed.

She knows for sure she will be needing 6 weeks of chemo and radiation, which will be a trip to St. Cloud 5 days a week. After that is completed she will then go on to 1 year of maintenance chemo. Wednesday 3/15/23 she will be getting her port put in for that.

We are starting this go fund me to try and help her in this time of need and unemployment until she can get herself healthy again and back on her feet. Her insurance has covered a lot but the deductible is currently at $16,800 and being medically unemployed has put a toll on all expenses.
