Hi all, my name is Emily. I'm sure you've all seen the devastating California fires in the news. I'm creating this campaign to raise funds for my best friend and her family who have been displaced by the horrific Pacific Palisades fire.

Jackie, Mike, Tala, Nara and Shai are safe but are unsure of what will become of their beautiful home and treasured community. The family has a lot of trauma from narrowly escaping the fire as their town burned. Jackie and Shai suffer from smoke inhalation and the girls are deeply saddened by the loss of their community and the displacement of their friends. It is apocalyptic and unthinkable that their entire town, all of the beloved places, are gone. They fled with the clothes on their backs and have nothing. Insurance has not come in yet as the cue of claims is enormous. Rental properties have sky rocketed and the family is unsure where they will end up as they wait for their town to be rebuilt—years from now.

I am hoping we can offer them some immediate help and support while they figure out their next steps.
