My names Marcus and I have been a community organiser and fundraiser for my community for over 15 years and I am reaching out to my community for help.

My mum sadly passed away 2 weeks ago after a 3.5 year battle with stage 4 colon cancer. My mother fought that disease till the very end and we managed to have some amazing times together in the years since she got diagnosed.

My whole world feels as if it has been ripped apart and I have a massive hole in my heart, me and my mum were very close and I know I won't be the same person without her.

One thing I want to say is if you or someone you know is feeling unwell for a long time and the doctors keep fobbing you off, be persist, get support and get a second opinion! Cancer deaths are preventable with all the incredible treatments if caught early! My mum should have been diagnosed earlier and this is a consistent problem especially if you are woman!

We are fundraising to give my mum the best possible send off that we can. We are also fundraising to support my family through this very difficult period.

We would appreciate donations instead of flowers.

Any additional funding on top of our goal will go towards a memorial for Jackie.
