Jackie Jeffko's Salon Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hi all,
My heart was crushed when I heard the news out of Simsbury, CT last night. A large structure fire broke out at 730 Hopmeadow Street, a building where a long-time family friend had her small business, Shades Above, a salon. Jackie Jeffko spent the last 10 years in that building, pouring every ounce of herself into that space, tending to women and making them feel beautiful, both crying and celebrating with her clients. I walked in just over a month ago, where photos of her two daughters lined the walls and music played, and truly it felt like the happiest place in the world. Jackie even still is confident of God's providence, but the financial blow of this disaster is real. Without renter's insurance, the loss will be even greater than just the displacement and the memories. As a result of this fire, she's been displaced from a place to do her work in the future, lost equipment, products, and tools procured over decades of work. I am making this GoFundMe to hopefully lessen the blow in any way I can. Any donation, no matter how small, would be so appreciated. Jackie has touched the lives of so many, and I hope we can unite to help her.
