Jackie Jacobs - Bye Felicia

My name is Alexis Ferrer. I have created this GoFundMe to assist niece, and nephews cover the cost of their mother's untimely passing.

My eldest sister, Jackie Jacobs (Jacqueline Martinez), passed away Friday, April 11th at the age of 55 years old. Her sudden passing has left her children scrambling to say their final goodbyes less than a month after their father’s celebration of life.

Jackie was 22 years old with a toddler by the time I was born. Jackie’s middle son was born 6 months before me, and her youngest less than 2 years after me. I spent the first 11 years of my life in California, growing up with her children. Jackie never failed to invite me to birthday parties, family outings, bbqs, and sleepovers. Though I would eventually move to Colorado with our mother, I would visit every summer and spend time at her house or venturing out with her daughter Janaya. With such an age gap, and being in completely different stages in life, Jackie was always a mother figure to me in my younger years.

I am grateful that our relationship evolved into the typical big sister/little sister dynamite – even if the highs were high, and the lows were low. I hope to help provide her the greatest goodbye, filled with loved ones sharing stories and memories.

Jackie is survived by her father, sisters, children, and grandchildren. With the recent passing of their father in February, and their mother soon after, her children and family are scrambling to save funds to lay her to rest.

We hope to ease this financial burden on her loved ones as they navigate through these unexpended losses.
