My name is Jackie Miller. I've been living in Phoenix, AZ for 30 years. I've been a single mother for 18 years. My job just stopped because of the company merging with another one, and everything completely slowed to a halt. I pulled myself out of being homeless by selling my car for the deposit. I've been trying to find a job for two months and nothing is happening. My daughter is now in the hospital, now for 5 days, because of intestinal issues.
I met a man on the Nextdoor app, who told me that he would hire me to sell CBD products. Because I don't have a car, he offered to help me get to all of the places that I needed to go, to give out samples, and promote the product. After a couple of days, he kept trying to push me into prostitution and webcam work. He had also taken a picture of me and sent it to an unknown person, whom he kept trying to get me to go to the house of where the person was. After adamantly telling him no, he then lost all interest in helping me. I won't get any of the money from the sales of the products I worked so hard to get. I got a 5-day notice on my door from my apartments, and I was stuck working for this guy because I had to get the rent paid, or at least half of it. I felt stuck and helpless. I was trying to save my apartment so that when my daughter came back home, there would still be a place. A police report has been filed and I got an order of protection. I really, really need help. Even if it was half. I have to give my apartments a payment. I'm trying so hard and I'm a fighter. I've never done a GoFundMe in my life, but I'm swallowing my pride today. Thank you.
