Too many young men and women lose their life to mental illness. Depression is an awful, and often silent killer of Australians - suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15-44. Quite often once you know, it’s too late. Never would I have thought that any of my mates could be depressed, or could commit suicide - a perspective that has been radically changed.
On the 30th of November, Toowong Rowing Club is sending an VIII to the Head of the Yarra. We would like raise $10000 (previously, $5000 and $2500) to donate to Orygen Youth Health - an organisation that researches prevention and treatment, advocates policy makers, and educates individuals with and alongside mental illness’s.
