Help for Jack post his Kidney Transplant.

Hi, My name is Danielle, I am Jacks mum and I am hoping to raise a bit of money to help Jack after his Kidney transplant.

Jack is 26 yrs old and has Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease, a genetic disease, although in our family Jack is the first. Jack was diagnosed in 2019 and has been on Dialysis for the past, almost 2 years now. He has been having Peritoneal Dialysis daily, where he is attached to a machine by his bed every night. This has affected his lifestyle tremendously but he has managed it so well. Jack has had to move out of his own place and in with family. He has tried so hard to keep working as much as possible, right up until his transplant on Friday 14th June.

Due to the disease and his health going up and down he has struggled financially.

He does have a very supportive family/friends and so far we are going ok. However post transplant there are many costs that will be a little difficult to cover.

He is very reluctant to ask for help but the initial cost of medications etc are quite high, and he will not be able to work for sometime.

He is super keen to get back into life and live it well.

We have so many beautiful people in our lives offering to help in some way, and as unnatural as it is to ask for financial help I believe this would be most useful to alleviate stress for him into the next few months.

Travel, Medications, Transport and maybe a bit of help getting him back on his feet and into his own place after all of this settles would be such a weight off.
