My son, Jack, suffered a severe hand injury while working in his wood shop. He has undergone surgery to reattach his thumb, and faces another surgery to remove hardware after 8-10 weeks in a cast.
As a self-employed carpenter, this recovery period is financially devastating as his family will have no income for 3-4 months. The fear of being one medical emergency away from financial ruin is something many of us can relate to... I do not want this to happen to my son. Funds are needed now, and everything raised will go directly to his family to cover living expenses: rent, food, utilities, and insurance to name a few.
