Jack Jakeman’s battle against cancer
Esher RFC 2nd XV player, Jack Jakeman was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma after a training injury during preseason which resulted in Jack being rushed to Hospital. After multiple tests it was discovered that it was a lymphoma that was causing the problem. Jack has had 2 treatments of immunotherapy and will be having further treatment with chemotherapy starting next month.
Jack has not stopped working to stay fit and keep positive, Jack has all the support of his teammates and everyone at Esher Rugby Club. We will be hosting multiple events to raise money for TheTeenageCancerTrust who have been doing an amazing job looking after Jack. We look forward to seeing Jack back down the club and on the pitch soon.
