Jack Choppa's Friends and Family want to help

Donation protected

On March 3rd, not 24 hours after the passing of his mother-in-law, Jack Choppa was
involved in a terrible skiing accident requiring him to be air-lifted to Albany Medical Hospital. Jack’s entire body was badly beaten. He suffered a collapsed lung and a Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI) Traumatic Brain Injury. He spent no 3 weeks in ICU where he slowly started to piece together the memories of his life. Jack is now residing in a rehabilitation facility hoping to regain use of his body. He is still working to remember his wife and children and their 20+ years of life together. The recovery process is going to be challenging for Jack and his family. He has a long road ahead of him. Jack will require speech, occupational, and physical therapy services for an undetermined length of time. The extent of  his recovery is still unknown.  Jack
could need years of expensive health care to get him back to the Jack we all know and love.

Jack’s recovery will not only be physically and emotionally trying, but will inevitably have a large financial impact on his family. It is imperative that Jack receive the therapy he needs to recover. This GoFundMe has been set up by Jack’s friends to help support his wife Tamar and their 3 children, Josh, Bella, and Sofia. Many people have reached out to ask how they can help Jack, and we felt a GoFundMe would be the best way for anyone who would like to contribute to the needs of Jack and his family at this incredibly challenging time. Jack’s friends will provide periodic updates to keep everyone informed of his progress. Thank you on behalf of Jack Choppa and his family for your generous support. Please feel free to share this GoFundMe and to pray for Jack’s recovery.
