Jack Burnett: Navigare year with the DCJM in Spain

Hello, I am Jack, I will be living in Spain for a year with the Disciples of the Heart of Jesus and Mary (DCJM). This year will be spent discerning what God has in store for me, learning Spanish, and growing in friendship and brotherhood with the order. The program that I am attending is called Navigare, where the Disciples invite a few young men to spend the year with them in Madrid and immerse them in their customs, disciplines, language and culture. We will be volunteering at local schools and churches in Madrid, making pilgrimages to Rome and other European cities, and completing the full Camino de Santiago. I am truly excited for this opportunity that God has put before me, and I can’t express my gratitude towards the DCJM enough, and I thank God for calling me to this incredible opportunity!! The Navigare program costs roughly $25,000, and the DJCM graciously covers $20,500!! I am responsible to make up the difference of $4,500. This money goes directly to the DJCM to help offset food and lodging and logistics associated with me as their guest.
