I am starting this Go Fund me for my brother Jack and my mother Angie. My 17yr old brother, Jack was badly injured in his baseball game a few nights ago while sliding to base on his stomach. They rushed him to the ER and found he was bleeding internally. Due to his Crohn’s disease he had lesions on his colon that had attached to his abdominal wall and actually ripped from his colon when he landed on his stomach to slide. They helicoptered him from Spooner WI to the children’s hospital in Minneapolis MN. He went under for about 4 hours and had two silver dollar sized tears repaired, the dr went in cleaned out about 7 liters and double sutured the tears. He was doing ok for a couple days but then started having issues and getting really sick again. The doctor suspected an infection was starting. Today they did a CT scan to find the infection and instead found he still has another tear in his colon. They rushed him back in for emergency surgery, this time they have to completely open up his abdominal cavity to repair. There is also a chance they may have to remove part or al lot his colon. Either way, his hospital stay will be long and my mother will be unable to work, especially with the hospital being two hours away from where they live. She has bills she has to pay on top of whatever financial cost all of the medical procedures and stay will add up to. Please help in any way you can so she can focus a her energy on Jack.
