Jack Black needs your help

Hello, all you animal lovers!
I adopted Jack Black (and his sister Calica) in January 2024. Today, they are around six months old.
When I adopted them, I dubbed them my emotional support kitties, and they lived up to the task.
On Monday morning (3/25), "Jackie" started vomiting multiple times during the day. It was a terrifying sight and worried me about what was happening. Monday and two days following that, we visited an emergency vet and their local vet to find out what was happening. Today, since the scans were inconclusive and on the advice of the vet doctor, we decided to operate. At the time of writing, I don't have all the facts since he's in surgery. The initial update shows he ingested some string. So, the surgery seems like it will be extensive.
We've grown so attached to him in the three months we've had him—like he's been in our lives for many years. It would be a tragedy to lose him now.
Unfortunately, this type of surgery was unexpected, and the bills are mounting. I would be humbled by your donation to save this boy and help give him a full life. Your generation will never be forgotten.
