Jack Beer World Challenge Expedition Borneo 2025
Spende geschützt
My name is Jack Beer, I am 14 years old and attend Tring School in Hertfordshire.
In July 2025 I will be travelling to Borneo in Southeast Asia on a World Challenge Expedition.
I am really excited about this trip of a lifetime to travel overseas that will take me out of my comfort zone and share in a different culture. Whilst in Borneo I will be trekking through the
jungle discovering traditional villages, rubber trees and pineapple farms and learning bushcraft and survival skills. I will also meet orangutans in their natural habitat and see how
the nature reserve cares for and protects their habitat. I will also be supporting a local community initiative by helping to build pathways, refurbishing the school, and conducting
maintenance in the village supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
All these activities are vastly different from the life I have, and I know it won’t be easy at times, but I know it will give me many new skills and confidence for the next chapter in my life.
Part of the expedition is to raise the funds for the trip, and I will be undertaking various fundraising opportunities, the main one will be a Triathlon that I will commence from now
until May 2025, I will be attempting to cover the distance from my school to Borneo a total of 7260miles, which will be a challenge! I am extremely active and keep fit and challenge
myself through playing rugby, both at club level and as part of Northampton Saints DPP, swimming for a club at county and regional level and cycling when I can. I will therefore be
undertaking this triathlon at my various swimming, rugby, and fitness training sessions as well as additional times as and when I can to try and reach my goal.
So please sponsor me, anything from a penny to a pound, its all greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!
Jack
